Anatomical Hand and Foot Kit: Tendons, Nerves, and the Carpal Tunnel

The Hand and Foot Anatomy Kit is designed for the detailed study of the nerve and tendon structures of the extremities. The set includes a hand model featuring tendons, nerves, and the carpal tunnel, as well as an anatomical foot model showing the major nerves.

It is particularly well-suited for courses in anatomy, physical therapy, osteopathy, podiatry, orthopedics, kinesiology, and healthcare education, as it allows for clear observation of structures that are often difficult to explain using only two-dimensional images.

Study of the hand, flexor tendons, and carpal tunnel

The hand model depicts a skeleton of the hand with a portion of the forearm, complete with tendons, nerves, and the carpal tunnel. The skeleton is flexibly mounted on a metal wire and consists of individual bones, providing a detailed anatomical representation that is useful for teaching.

Visible are the tendons of the superficial flexor digitorum muscle, the tendon of the flexor pollicis longus muscle, the common flexor tendon sheath, the transverse carpal ligament, and the median nerve. These structures make the model particularly useful for explaining the functional anatomy of the hand and the carpal tunnel region.

Neuro-Foot: The Foot with Nerve Representation

The Neuro-Foot model is a life-size reproduction of a right foot with the major nerves labeled on both the dorsal and plantar surfaces. This feature makes it highly effective for studying the innervation of the foot and for explaining the anatomical relationships between nerves, bones, and functional regions.

The foot is removable and can be positioned upside down on the stand, allowing for a better view of the sole. This feature is particularly useful during lectures, practical demonstrations, and the study of plantar nerve structures.

A kit for a better understanding of the extremities

By combining the hand and foot, the kit offers a comparative view of the two extremities and allows for the exploration of topics such as skeletal anatomy, nerve pathways, tendon structures, anatomical tunnels, and the functional relationships between bones, tendons, and nerves.

It is suitable for both basic anatomy instruction and more specialized training programs related to rehabilitation, functional assessment, and the clinical study of the extremities.

The kit includes

  • 1 Erler Zimmer 6011 anatomical model of the hand with tendons, nerves, and the carpal tunnel
  • 1 Erler Zimmer M28 Neuro-Foot model of the foot with nerve representation, stand, and instructional card
