Erler Zimmer Anatomical Joint Model Kit: Shoulder, Elbow, and Hip with Ligaments

The Erler Zimmer anatomical joint model kit includes three joints that are fundamental to the study of human movement: the shoulder joint, the elbow joint, and the hip joint.

This set is particularly useful for schools, universities, and courses in physical therapy, osteopathy, kinesiology, and healthcare education, as it allows for clear observation and demonstration of the structure of the major joints of the upper and lower limbs.

Each model is crafted as a natural anatomical cast and displays the main bony and ligamentous components of the joint. The inclusion of ligaments helps students better understand the relationship between anatomical structure, joint stability, and range of motion.

A complete kit for studying joint mobility

The shoulder joint model represents the shoulder girdle, featuring the scapula, clavicle, and humeral stump. Key ligamentous structures are visible, such as the coracoacromial ligament, the coracomeral ligament, and the transverse ligament of the scapula, as well as portions of the joint capsule. The model allows for the demonstration of the main movements of the shoulder, including anteversion, retroversion, abduction, internal rotation, and external rotation.

The elbow joint model shows the humeral head, the ulna, and the radius. The ligamentous apparatus and the interosseous membrane are made of elastic material, allowing for the demonstration of flexion, extension, and pronation-supination movements of the forearm.

The hip joint model represents the coxofemoral joint with the femoral condyle held in place by the ligamentous apparatus. The major hip ligaments are depicted, including the iliofemoral, ischiofemoral, and pubofemoral ligaments. The model allows for the demonstration of flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, and, to some extent, internal and external rotation.

Ideal for lessons, demonstrations, and hands-on study

This kit is designed to make explaining joint biomechanics more intuitive. The ability to manipulate the models during class helps students and professionals better understand how joint surfaces, ligaments, and the joint capsule contribute to joint stability and mobility.

The set is suitable for teaching human anatomy, rehabilitation training, and any situation where it is necessary to visually explain the main joint movements.

The kit includes

  • 1 shoulder joint model with ligaments and a removable stand (Erler Zimmer 4550)
  • 1 elbow joint model with ligaments and a removable stand (Erler Zimmer 4556)
  • 1 hip joint model with ligaments and a removable stand (Erler Zimmer 4553)

This product is intended for medical and anatomical education. It is not a toy.
