Practi-Baby BLS Infant CPR Manikin - Standard

The Practi-Baby Standard infant BLS manikin is a full-body simulator designed for training in pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and airway clearance maneuvers for infants. Its size, weight, and limb mobility allow for realistic simulation of key first-aid procedures for newborns and very young children. Practi-Baby measures 57 cm and replicates the proportions of an infant approximately 3 months old. One of the model’s most interesting features is the mobility of the head, which must be supported and positioned correctly during training exercises. The head can move sideways and forward or backward, allowing trainees to practice the correct positioning required to open the airway. The arms and legs are also fully movable, making simulations of caring for an unconscious infant more realistic. The respiratory system is designed to simulate ventilation through the nose and mouth. Air reaches the lungs when the head is held in the correct position, allowing the student to immediately understand the importance of airway management during CPR. Exhaled air is also directed toward the back of the head, helping to improve hygiene during exercises with multiple participants. During chest compressions, the manikin provides resistance designed to make CPR performance more realistic. An audible feedback system produces a click when the compression is performed at the correct depth; this feature can be deactivated when the instructor wishes to conduct exercises without auditory feedback. Practi-Baby can also be used for training in airway clearance maneuvers for infants. The manikin’s flexible body allows for proper positioning during the back blows and chest compressions required by first-aid procedures. The bodysuit supplied with the simulator also features back padding that facilitates the repeated performance of maneuvers during training courses. By removing the internal valve and lung system, the manikin can also be used for practice with the placement of the Guedel oropharyngeal airway, further expanding its applications in BLS and BLSD courses. The manikin is particularly well-suited for training centers, first aid instructors, schools, daycare centers, associations, and facilities that organize courses dedicated to pediatric emergency management.
