EGD Medical Simulator Model - Esophagogastroduodenoscopy - Erler Zimmer LM103
This medical simulator
is used for training in the insertion of an endoscope into the upper gastrointestinal tract and for simulating an examination.
The endoscope can be inserted using either the transoral or transnasal method, and the simulator is equipped with ulcers and polyps for observation.
Medical simulators
are used in medical education to provide medical students with training that is as realistic as possible and to simulate all scenarios that may occur in real-world practice.
This exceptional medical simulator model allows for completely realistic practice.
Features of the medical simulator:
- The simulator is made of silicone rubber and feels like a real human body when an endoscope is inserted; even the color is very similar to that of the human body.
- It allows for endoscope insertion using both the transoral and transnasal methods.
- With transnasal insertion, there is a setting for cases where insertion is difficult. The insertion technique or appearance can be modified as desired, such as the nasal septum and its deviations to the right and/or left.
- It allows for specific training in endoscopic examination of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. In endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), it also allows for training in the papillary cannulation method.
- A gastric ulcer and early gastric cancer can be observed in the stomach. Four types of Yamada polyps, classified from I to IV, can be set up for observation.
- The medical simulator also replicates a duodenal ulcer.
The front section can be opened along the midline to reveal the anatomical structure of the nasal passages, oral cavity, and larynx.
Note: Product comes with a carrying case.
