Erler Zimmer PACS Physiological Auscultation Simulator.
This auscultation simulator is a valuable teaching aid for studying heart diseases, particularly those that students or physicians do not have the opportunity to auscultate frequently during their work.
Auscultation of the heart and lungs is an essential part of every medical examination; in fact, a proper auscultation can provide the first clues leading to a further diagnosis. Mastering the auscultation technique remains one of the most challenging tasks in a medical student’s training.
The physiological auscultation simulator is a realistic and easy-to-use product for training in the correct auscultation of the heart, lungs, and intestines, all while using a real stethoscope just as you would with a real patient, and with exactly the same quality.
The auscultation training system generates cardiac, pulmonary, and bowel sounds and allows students to identify them.
It operates using an MP3 player with high-definition recordings of real human sounds.
The different types of sounds to be used during training can be selected on the MP3 player and are played through a high-quality speaker.
The system comes with 30 pre-installed audio tracks, but the open system allows you to install your own audio files on the player, enabling the instructor to add their own sounds to the pre-installed ones.
If you are dealing with a patient whose sounds are of educational interest, you can use an electronic stethoscope to record the sounds and make them available to students by loading them into the auscultation simulator.
The gel pad is made of a special elastic polymer material so that the auscultation surface has characteristics equivalent to real human tissue.
To auscultate low-frequency sounds, light pressure on the contact surface is sufficient; slightly greater contact pressure allows you to hear even higher frequencies.
